Developing your design and build project
We are looking to partner with long lease developments constructed by commercial organisations wishing to locate at Keele University, linking to the Science & Business Park ethos but wanting their own property. Keele is able to offer, and will provide:
Pre-construction
- Development of initial scope, giving indicative scale and construction costs to meet the needs of the internal use of the building
- Assistance with the development of concept design and production of budget cost (feasibility stage)
- Initial construction design and management regulations assessment
- Assistance in selecting and appointing a design team, including architect, M&E consultants, environmental consultants and cost consultants. The University will provide project management and employer’s agent services as required
- Assistance with the development of concept design and production of budget cost (pre-tender stage)
- Assistance with detailed design and preparation of planning application including associated assessments and reports
- Lifecycles cost appraisal
- Assessment of suitable organisations and management of the tender and selection process for the constructor
- Preparation, with the constructor and design team; appropriate project plans; CDM reports and discharge of planning conditions
During construction
- Full development agent services
- Full project management services
- Management of, or the facilitation of, the building handover process; review of statutory documentation provided by the construction team for accuracy and adequacy
Post construction
- Management of pre-completion snagging and handover, working with the client’s project management team
- Project management of office fit-out and occupancy, working with the client’s project management team
- Post-occupancy moves and alterations
- Full maintenance services to the building and surrounding landscape, including legislative maintenance, lifecycle maintenance and responsive maintenance
